Atsamera Consulting Limited is committed to conducting its lending business responsibly and in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Zambia.
Our operations are guided by the regulatory framework administered by the Bank of Zambia, including provisions relating to microfinance and money-lending, loan classification, and provisioning requirements set out in the relevant Banking and Financial Services regulations.
We perform identity verification and customer due diligence on all applicants in line with Zambia's anti-money-laundering obligations. This includes verifying NRC and business registration details and retaining supporting documentation.
Before approving a loan, we assess affordability using statutory deduction calculations (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA) and a Debt Service Ratio (DSR) limit to help ensure repayments are sustainable for the borrower.
In line with regulatory requirements, customer credit information and repayment performance may be shared with licensed Credit Reference Bureaus. Accounts in prolonged non-performance may be listed with a CRB.
